I don’t get the changes in Instagram lately. What is it that Instagram wants me to do and what it thinks the main feature of the platform is? I need more clarity. I don’t mind moving all my content to micro.blog but I still enjoy following the people I care about. All and all, up until now, as a normal person following only normal people I know, Instagram has been a net-positive in my life

The most offending thing about the new UI is that is built around mis-clicks. Not only was the old navigation model abandoned. In addition, the UI puts new preferred functionality to places where old key functionality was. It is like the church repurposing old holidays and places of worships when converting “pagans” to Christianity. Sorry IG/FB, I enjoyed being a pagan
