I’ve missed words for “question” and “to ask” (also “to answer”) so we crafted a sentence about questions:
“я не ответил, потому что не слышал, что ты что-то спросила.”
“I didn’t answer because I didn’t hear you ask me anything.”
“En vastannut, koska en kuullut, että kysyit jotain”

ответил ответить - to answer, to reply - vastata
слышал слышать - to hear - kuulla
спросила спросить - to ask - kysyä
