I have been strongly thinking of getting rid of the text based social media altogether (it is mostly very passive Bluesky and Mastodon browsing, I left Threads at some point) and concentrate on micro.blog and other outlets of active creation (drawing, blogging here, writing with physical objects). What if I wrote and didn’t really doomscroll any more? What would I miss?

I have finally established a RSS reader routine for following interesting creators’ blogs and feel like that is almost 95% of the value I get from social media.

I feel that I am similarly annoyed/disappointed/exhausted at Twitter clones I was at Twitter ca. 2016 (I left Twitter finally on September 2019) and don’t want to wait years to act on that feeling like I did with Twitter. To avoid that I decided to leave both Bluesky and Mastodon later today
