Humble Bundle has a Martha Wells (Murderbot diaries and more) campaign going on: www.humblebundle.com/books/mar…

Recommend me a romance book. Preferably fun and somewhat modern but any kind of recommendation is welcome

Trying to build up RSS reader habit (again) to avoid social media. First on my list is to add this ink review site to my “Pen Stuff” collection. What are your favourite pen, ink, stationery blogs?

What is a simple lesson you never learnt after all those years in the industry?

I still, after 28 years in work force fail this: “whenever you get an account or access to a system, test it immediately, you can’t trust it to work when you need it if you don’t test it right now”

I find it fascinating that Ron Jeremy managed for long to maintain this kind of cool, benign personal brand despite his industry and that his downfall became as a surprise to many (including me)

I started thinking this while going through the backlog of You’re Wrong About podcast that references him

This all started with single Lamy Safari pen. Young men: stay safe and say no to stationery. Sure, journalling is safe they said. All of a sudden you are choosing water colours before breakfast

A picture of my kitchen table. There are several notebooks, water colours, fineliners and fountain pens all around the table

In your opinion, what are the best (2-3) lines of lyrics in a love song? Preferably a happy or a passionate one but can also be longing

I get Stendhal syndrome at great grocery stores. All this food so nicely laid out that I am getting overwhelmed by emotion

You have been kidnapped. You are put into a dark room and you don’t know where and how long you’ve been away.

Suddenly, you hear a sound, something that tells you those lazy kidnappers didn’t even bother to take you away from your home town.

What is that sounds that tells you are close to home?

What can I say? This is my kind of sci-fi ❤️

After watching two episodes of Murderbot diaries, I must say that I am a tiny bit disappointed. It must be the difference of format.

The books make me viscerally feel how they/it feels social anxiety. I guess that kind of magic can’t be expressed on TV

Still, extremely good adaptatiob

Extremely local Finnish post. I’ve determined that my optimal pizza is:

  • very thin crust
  • minimal amount of toppings

(And needs to be vegan, obviously)

This summer I have had that kind of pizza in Mathildedal at kyläravintola Terho. Question is where in Helsinki I could get that kind of pizza?

The worst thing about a book store: you buy new books like you didn’t have quite a few books at home waiting🥲

The best part of a book store: you get to buy new books 🥰

Summer holiday is for relaxation and realizing you are just your dad with no practical skills.

There are reality shows about fixing cars and there are youtube star car mechanics but are there any kind of shows about ”cLoUd CoNsUltAnTs”? Now tell me Timo

My dad: has a million projects going on. Realises a part is missing and everything is left as it stands. He takes on new project. Repeat

Me: having 104 github repos and dozens of domains waiting for the right day. No, not at all the same

sobs in self-realization

Rainy day, summer flu and I am all out of paper books and all my e-ink devices are not with me. But I need books!

The Finnish edition also contained the short story Compulsory. The story is short for sure but still reveals one important part of the backstory

Yes! More murderbot. Like them I would like to just hide in the closet and enjoy entertainment feeds.

There is something magical about writing that simultaneously entertains me and makes me think how neurospicy mind functions.

Exactly my kind of scifi. Fun, fast and short. Best part is the internal monologue of the main character. Extremely relatable (minus the murder parts)

Finished reading: The Expanse: Origins by James S.A. Corey 📚

Along with a dozen Star Trek comics I went through this collection of five mini comics about the Expanse main cast. I wish there was more story here but yes, these are our characters

Ozzy Osbourne was and is the greatest rock star ever for me. Ever since I was twelve and still now. This is one of my favourites from him
