Inktober day 9: heavy
This is an idea for a fineliner and not a fountain pen. But here we are

I was going to share FT article on small modular reactors but the article sharing options are weird.
Anywho, why aren’t we talking more about SMR projects overpromising, overshooting and underdelivering? I am all for nuclear power being there along with renewables, but are SMRs the solution?
Think about the type of person who would’ve started a movie blog 20 years ago—what would that same type of young adult do in 2025? TikTok? Podcast?
Inktober day 5: deer
This prompt is too hard for my current drawing skills (or rather image in my head doesn’t come up on page). Here is my drafts page. My deers look more like bears or Egyptian gods

If you wanted to prove with stats that football/soccer players are much better than 30 years ago, what kind of statistics should I be looking at?
”Prime minister Dr. Evil will personally execute all the puppies in the courtyard of the cursed Senate building”
Bluesky leadership: ”waffles!”
And I want to say this separately: I think both Threads and Bluesky are fundamentally flawed and will eventually turn sour (and are already far along that path). Mastodon will be there but it is unlikely to ever get enough traction among the creative folks, scientists and the like
Yesterday I got nostalgic about Twitter circa 2012-2014 and realised there is never going to be anything like that anymore. Even if I treat it as a feature that we have multiple competing options now, I still miss the days it was fun.
I could treat Twitter as my personal Quora. With a decent amount of followers, I always got an answer for my questions. And it was fun like nothing ever was or will be for someone who likes to read and write. I got several clients from there and one job, couldn’t have asked more.
Now, talking about mostly Finnish text-form social media, we have a small crowd of nerds in Mastodon, but nothing like even close to being a critical mass, we have some of the culture folks and journalists in Bluesky, and Threads has turned into millennial Facebook where socially active people meet other socially active people.
All have their upsides, but none have the same feel either because of we didn’t get everyone migrated (Mastodon, Bluesky) or that people don’t want it to be Twitter (Threads)
I dropped and lost my Downloads folder from the Mac dock and now I am too embarrased to even Google how to bring it back.
Second day of running my own company and I was on a call while on a treadmill at my gym talking about LOIs and MOUs out loud. Sorry, I have turned into a Linkedin person.
Inktober day 1 ”mustache”. Ended up liking my one minute draft the best. There is a secret garden under a horseshoe mustache.

I’ve been dreading iOS 26 as I am very sensitive to readability and contrast issues. And this seems to be… fine?
And looks pretty nice, I can see leather stiching and brushed metal coming back in not-too-distant future 🥰
”I can ink my fountain pen with my good clothes on” says he smugly
Fifteen minutes later: ”what is that shadow on my face”
Oh no
Exploring Gender and Trans Identity in the Worlds of C.J. Cherryh - Reactor is a really nice write up on C.J.Cherryh. I was sadly unaware of her works before this, but added these directly to my to-read pile
